Designed by Cynthia Kimura Gleaming and mysterious colors make this multi-strand necklace come alive. The featured seed beads are from the perfectly coordinated Midnight Magic Designer Blend. They make a perfect complement to the copper flower pendant. See more of this necklace and other ideas for using Designer Seed Bead Blends in this Artbeads Cafe episode. As this necklace shows, all it takes is a beautiful color palette for inspiration to strike! Step one: Cut six lengths of KO beading thread approximately 24 inches long each. Slide the Patricia Healey copper flower pendant over all six threads, so that it sits at the center of the strands. Step two: Add a random pattern of the Midnight Magic Designer Seed Bead Blend to all of the strands. Start stringing beads onto all six strands and even on both sides of the pendant, so that the colors in the blend are spread out evenly. If you want, you can use the Spin-N-Bead Jr bead loader to quickly add your seed beads to the thread. Watch this video to see how it works. Repeat on the other side of the pendant. Make sure to leave a two-inch tail on both ends of the necklace. Step three: Knot all six strands of thread together on one end of the necklace. Thread the ends of the strands through the hole in a clam shell bead tip with 2 rings. Knot the strands together again, dab them with adhesive and then pinch the bead tip closed around the knot. For more help on using bead tips, please see our Handy Tip. Repeat this step for the other end of the necklace. Step four: Add one half of the TierraCast antique copper large beaded clasp set to each end of the necklace using a 5mm copper 20 gauge open jump ring. For help opening and closing jump rings, please see our Handy Tip Video.
